Why choose IntelliFix?

IntelliFix eliminates the hassle (and extra costs) of going to a repair shop and waiting hours or even days to have your device repaired. Our certified technicians come to your location. While IntelliFix repairs your device, you can continue to go about your business.

Can a technician come to anywhere I want?

Our technicians are mobile and ready to meet you anywhere you would like, as long as its safe. We generally come to residences, offices and your local coffee shops.

Can I trust an IntelliFix technician?

Absolutely! We form a background check on each technician before we hire them. These background checks are thorough and we check for any criminal records. Our technicians are certified with technical experience in the trade. All of our technicians are obligated to follow our code of conduct which is to provide all customers with courtesy and professionalism.

I have multiple issues with my smartphone, can I get a deal on multiple repairs?

Yes you can, contact us describing your problem and we’ll see what we can do for you.

I found a repair for cheaper. Why should I use IntelliFix?

IntelliFix is committed to providing the best pricing on all our services. So if you find a lower price from a reputable repair center for the same repair, on the same device (a printed quotation must be provided in order to qualify), tell us and we’ll match it.

While there’s always someone who can fix your device for cheap like that guy from the corner shop, beware of prices that seem too good to be true. A cheap repair often involves sub-par replacement parts, further damaged or malfunctioning devices, and more repairs needed in the long run.

Here at IntellliFix we believe in using top-quality parts and upholding the highest standards to ensure we get every repair right. We make the repair process quick and convenient. Our repairs are trustworthy—we use original parts (in some cases professional-grade OEM replacement parts), provide a full year warranty, and are always there to help with any future issues.

Do I have to include my passcode with my phone?

It is recommended. We need the passcode in order to test your phone after the repair. You may give your password to the technician when he arrives. If you do not wish to provide your passcode, certain phone functions won’t be tested such us camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and therefore can’t be verified by us to work.

Alternatively you can call us to cancel or reschedule your repair.

Repair Questions

I tried repairing my smartphone myself, can I still have it repaired or diagnosed?

Yes, no problem, please contact us or book-in your device for repair.

After dropping my phone it has become unresponsive to touch, does a screen repair fix this issue?

Yes, any non responsiveness your phone is experiencing due to a drop should be corrected with the touchpanel/digitizer repair, as the “Digitizer” that is replaced is the part responsible for all touch functionality.

The glass on my iPhone is completely shattered and is chipping off, is the screen replacement service all I need?

Yes, the screen replacement service will replace the entire glass face (and the LCD in most cases), so the extent of the damage to the previous glass does not matter.

How do I know if I need the LCD repair or not?

If the actual display or screen of the phone is bleeding, white, or has any dead pixels then you’re going to need to select the LCD & Digitizer option as the LCD has suffered irreversible damage. Still not sure? Send a picture of the current condition of the phone while it is powered on to “support@intellifix.co.za” and we’ll advise you and do our best to diagnose it.

When should a phones battery be replaced?

The typical cell phone battery begins to deteriorate after 400 charging cycles. The average user will reach this point after 1-2 years of regular usage. This however is  not always the case – some batteries may deplete or deteriorate sooner or even experience swelling and malfunction. If this is the case then have the battery repaired asap.

My phone doesn't charge. How can I tell if it's the battery or charge port?

If your phone does not charge altogether, check to see if the port is loose or dirty. If it’s loose or dirty, you will most likely need a charging port replacement. If an aux cord can be firmly plugged in, you are most likely experiencing a battery issue. If you still can’t tell then contact us and we’ll send a technician to diagnose the issue.

Why is my phone slower after updating to the latest firmware version?

Older devices have been known to slow down if a recent software update has been installed because the phone’s hardware is not equipped to support the new features of the operating system.

Liquid Damage Service

What should I do if my device falls in water?

Do not turn on your device, dry the outside of the phone being careful to not press any buttons. It’s best if you book-in your device with IntelliFix the same-day as we will have a better chance of repairing it. Of course if you’re unable to do so, try to dry it out, then make a booking as soon as possible. We will gladly take over from there!

I dropped my phone in liquid that was not water, can it still be repaired?

Absolutely, we have repaired smartphones that have been dropped in all kinds of liquid, not just water. We have seen phones dropped in beer, coffee and everything in between. The water damage service applies to all type of liquid, not just water.

I dropped my phone in salt water, is it even worth repairing?

Absolutely. Through the salt in salt water is very corrosive and can be very damaging to electronic devices, there is no reason to not get your device and diagnose/water damage repaired. Our success rate on salt water damage is lower than that of a device that has been dropped in other liquid but there is still a possibility that it can be repaired.

My device was water damaged and now everything seems to work fine except for one function, do I still need the full water damage service?

We recommend you have your device diagnosed with us. Your device may worsen over time if it is not properly repaired after falling into any liquid. It might be one issue today but corrosion may spread and cause further damage.

How long do liquid damage repairs take to complete?

Liquid/water damage repairs generally take between 24 and 72 hours to complete depending on the level of damage. This estimate can vary, however, depending on the extent of the damage to the logic board and other components.

What is the success rate of a liquid damage repair?

Typically we have a water damage repair success rate of 75% percent, though nothing is guaranteed to work and there is only a 30-day warranty included.
